Since their budding conversation, their family has been to working farms, tractor auctions and county fairs.

After starting kindergarten, Pad's desire to own a farm didn't cave to the peer pressures of super heroes and pop culture. His loyalty still stays with John Deere.

And now, he is working every night, building a book he has titled, "This is not a true story, but farms are true."

From the Diary of Farmer Pad: Pad brought a calendar home from school that had April Showers on it. I asked him, "if April Showers bring May Flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?" I thought he may have already heard this riddle at school.
